During Term 6 2015 the children of the Gardening Club worked exceptionally hard to transform our garden into a growing garden. We are very fortunate at St Michael’s that our site includes what was once the garden to the Headmaster’s house. It is a secluded spot at the back of the school which has a nature pond, a well established plum tree and now includes a number of vegetable patches. This year the gardeners grew tomatoes, a variety of lettuces, runner beans and sunflowers.
We would like to thank the parent volunteers who worked so enthusiastically with the children to make our garden a success.
The garden is also used by all classes throughout the year for science and PSHE activities.
