It’s official! We are good!
We are pleased to share with you that following an Ofsted inspection on 26th November, 2019, St. Michael’s continues to be a GOOD school. The report is extremely positive and we are pleased to have achieved this grading under Ofsted’s new, more rigorous approach to school inspection.
We are delighted that Ofsted has recognised the excellent work going on at St. Michael’s and what a ‘nurturing, friendly and happy school‘ we are. Ofsted recognises that ‘together, staff and pupils make this a harmonious place in which to play and learn‘ – we couldn’t ask for more!
We hope you share our pride in this report. We are pleased that the inspection team saw in their day, what we see every day – a fantastic school!
A warm welcome to St. Michael’s
Church of England Primary School
Love – Honesty – Forgiveness – Respect
The team here at St Michael’s would like to extend a warm welcome to you all and hope that your association with the school is a long and happy one. We work closely together with the children and community of St. Michael’s to create an environment which provides the very best opportunities for all our learners.
St. Michael’s has a well-established caring ethos founded on our Christian values of Love, Honesty, Forgiveness & Respect, where every member of our school is valued as an individual, enriching the happy, caring environment which we strive to create. This contributes to the wonderful family feel to our school and the smiling faces and laughter you hear when you visit us, along with excellent work in every part of the school is a testament to this.
Our vision at St. Michael’s is that every child receives an excellent education and feels valued for who they are. We want to lay a foundation of curiosity, tapping into children’s natural inquisitiveness about the world around them, and to foster their ambition by recognising and responding to their talents and individuality. We seek to treat everyone in our community with love, honesty, forgiveness and respect, rooted in the principle of ‘do to others as you would have them do to you’ (Luke 6:31).
