Collective worship is ordinarily held daily at St Michael’s CE Primary School. Each week has a new focus and new music.
Unfortunately due to COVID-19 restrictions we have had to limit our wider gatherings and will now be holding key stage worship on a Monday which is led by the headteacher, and each class will have their own Celebration worship every Friday which the headteacher will attend on a rotation basis.
In term one we remind ourselves of the four fundamental Christian values which our school embraces – LOVE, HONESTY, FORGIVENESS and RESPECT. We will do so through deeper engagement with topical stories and issues which have a social, moral and spiritual focus and also develops links between personal, school and community values, using Picture News as the prime resource.
Every week the children nominate a peer who has demonstrated one our Christian values. These value nominees are celebrated in our Friday Celebration worship and are displayed on our Christian Values board in the school hall.
Our Christian Values
We encourage our children to embrace our Christian values of
in all that they do.
