Collective worship is ordinarily held daily at St Michael’s CE Primary School. Each week has a new focus and new music.
Unfortunately due to COVID-19 restrictions we have had to limit our wider gatherings and will now be holding key stage worship on a Monday and Tuesday mornings which is led by the headteacher. Alongside this, each class will have their own Celebration worship every Friday which the headteacher will attend on a rotation basis.
In term two we are focusing on our Christian Value of RESPECT, alongside British Values. The very first worship session, will introduce our RSHE focus for the term, ‘Celebrating Difference’ as we reflect on how we are all completely unique and special, whilst the final two will focus on the celebration of Christmas. Through the rest of the term’s worship sessions we will be engaging with topical stories and issues which have a social, moral and spiritual focus using Picture News as the prime resource.
Every week the children nominate a peer who has demonstrated one our Christian values. These value nominees are celebrated in our Friday Celebration worship and are displayed on our Christian Values board in the school hall.

We encourage our children to embrace our Christian values of
