The whole school comes together daily to share in our collective worship. Worship is a time for us to connect with one another, with our spirituality, with the Christian foundations of the school and with the wider community, both near and far. Worship is led regularly by our teaching staff and twice a term by Deacon Michael from the local parish team. Children make regular contributions through the bringing of prayers to the whole school reflection area.
Throughout the year we focus on our Christian Values of Love, Honesty, Forgiveness and Respect. We do so through engagement with biblical teachings, topical stories which have a social, moral and spiritual focus, songs of praise, and prayer, including the Lord’s Prayer. We come together at significant times in the Christian calendar such as Harvest, Advent, Christmas, Pentecost, Lent and Easter for whole school, and often, whole community celebrations. These are held either in school or in the parish church of St Michael’s in Playden.

Every week the children nominate peers who have demonstrated one of our Christian values. These value nominees are celebrated in our Friday celebration worship and placed on our Christian Values Garden display in the school hall.
