Curriculum

At St Michael’s our curriculum is designed to be ambitious as well as aspirational for all learners.  It provides a high level of challenge, encourages resilience and recognises individuality.

Our curriculum fosters respect through a focus on equality, diversity and inclusivity.  Our learners are encouraged to explore the lived experience of others through a broad and balanced programme of learning and activities which are carefully sequenced to build on prior knowledge, skills and experiences.

The curriculum at St Michaels’ prepares our learners for life beyond school. It develops intellectual curiosity, a love of learning and opportunities to take risks, ask questions and think deeply.

Our curriculum encourages our learners to use their talents to become confident, capable citizens who demonstrate our core values and can contribute honestly and positively to society.
